Day-by-Day Itinerary
Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga – Camel Trek
Pick-up from Fes, cross the Middle Atlas via Ifrane and Azrou, then the Ziz Valley to Merzouga. Camel trek into the dunes at sunset, dinner and overnight in a desert camp.
Merzouga Desert Day – Dunes, Nomads & Oases
A full day exploring the Erg Chebbi area: nomad families, the black volcanic desert, Khamlia Gnawa music village and oases. Second night in a desert hotel or camp.
Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
Drive to the towering Todra Gorge for a walk, then continue to the Dades Valley with its winding road and rock formations for dinner and overnight in a kasbah hotel.
Dades – Ouarzazate – Aït Benhaddou – Marrakech
Through the Valley of Roses and Ouarzazate film studios, visit Aït Benhaddou, then cross the High Atlas to Marrakech, arriving in the late afternoon.
